     The Loggerhead Marine Turtle or "Carey Cabezon" measures about 3.7 feet (1.14m) and weights about 450 lbs (205 kg). Its shell and skin are brownish red, while the breastplate (inner shell) is yellow. It has a big head and can not hide it inside the shell. It eats crabs and crustacean from coral reefs.

    The Loggerhead is considered an endangered species because of overfishing, loss of habitat and egg predation. It nests in beaches along the southern coast of Puerto Rico.
